About me
I have been practising yoga for many years after discovering it though meditation and mindfulness as a teen. Having built a foundation through Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga has become my regular practice for the past several years. I love the way Ashtanga Vinyasa can inform so many other yoga styles as a foundation but is a strong, full, and rich practice itself. My practice has changed and developed throughout my life, most recently after having my first baby and I’ve found this has deepened my teaching.
Coming from a background of allied health and working with individuals with disabilities has also informed my teaching. I find great joy in sharing yoga with others and seeking out ways to make the practice as accessible as possible.
In recent years, I have had the privilege of continuing training under Karen Kirkness to deepen and enrich my understand of anatomy through spiral movement. Through this training I was certified as a Five Filaments Specialist.
Most recently I have also completed the teacher training under Ty Landrum, immersing in his new paradigm, Black Lotus Yoga. Find out more about this strong, dynamic, inspiring practice here: https://www.tylandrum.com/
I have the privilege of intertwining all my learnings into classes, one-to-one offerings and my own personal practice.
